THE ROLE OF THE DAN DAY IN THE PRESERVATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE VIETNAMESE CA TRU ART NOWADAYS

ABSTRACT
Ca Tru is a unique musical art form of the Vietnamese people, recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage in need of urgent protection. Dan Day, an important instrument in the Ca Tru performance system, plays an irreplaceable role in maintaining and promoting traditional musical identity. This article analyzes the role of Dan Day in preserving Ca Tru art today, thereby proposing solutions to preserve Dan Day in the modern context.
